Twenty-five year old former 3rd round pick Dylan Strome has had quite the season this year. Some may believe it's in regards to his contract renewal/new signing off season, but Strome is on pace to CRUSH his career high point total.

Dylan Strome has already surpassed his career high goal total with 2 extra than his original career high, with just under 20 games left. The young centre has earned the opportunity to slide into a first line role, centring DeBrincat on LW (left wing) and Patrick Kane RW (on right wing) as well as the first power play unit centring Taylor Raddysh on LW & Kane once again on RW.

Somebody's gotta go- the Blackhawks projected cap space at the moment is $2,830. Yes, that is two thousand dollars, compared to a signed $10.5M dollar Jonathan Toews contract. Some contracts are deemed to be released this off season, who will be first, De Haan at $4.55M?

A career worst season struggling Dominik Kubalik at $3.7M? Along with Erik Gustvafssons $800K/year contract that needs to be dumped so our youth gets the chance at the blue line.

Why ruin something that's not broken (Dylan Strome)? Well sadly, we've experienced the same thing this season with forward Brandon Hagel being traded away and we can't help but hope if the Blackhawks can get Dylan Strome to take a cut to help the rebuild- it's a no brainer to keep him on board.

Scott Powers, writer for the Chicago Blackhawks sub website reported that it's not expected the Blackhawks resign Strome and Kubalik, but that was months ago.

Let's take a look at the havoc that top DeBrincat-Strome-Kane line can cause:
